These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Shop This Room Shopify Sales Channel application (the "App") and the associated marketplace services operated by Distil Technology Limited, trading as Shop This Room ("Shop This Room", "we", "us", or "our").
Distil Technology Limited is a company incorporated in England and Wales (company number 15452977).
By installing the App or continuing to use our services, you ("Merchant") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.
Shop This Room provides a Shopify Sales Channel that enables Merchant products to be listed on curated online storefronts managed on behalf of premium hospitality and lifestyle venues ("Venue Storefronts"). Guests at partner venues discover Merchant products and are directed to check out through the Merchant's own Shopify store.
Placement on Venue Storefronts is managed by Shop This Room in partnership with venue teams. Installation of the App does not guarantee placement on any specific venue or storefront. Shop This Room will contact Merchants to confirm venue assignments.
Shop This Room earns a commission on each order placed through a Venue Storefront where Merchant products are listed. The applicable commission rate is displayed in your App dashboard (default: 15% of the order value excluding shipping and taxes).
Commission is charged automatically via Shopify Billing after each paid order attributed to the Shop This Room channel. By installing the App, you authorise Shopify to process these charges on our behalf. There are no setup fees or monthly charges — you only pay when Shop This Room drives a sale.
We reserve the right to update commission rates on 30 days' written notice. Continued use of the App after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the revised rate.
By using the App, you agree to:
You retain all rights to your product content, images, and brand assets. By installing the App, you grant Shop This Room a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your product information and imagery on Venue Storefronts for the purpose of operating the service.
Shop This Room retains all rights to the App, its software, and any materials we create in connection with the service. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of either party's intellectual property to the other.
The App and service are provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shop This Room excludes all warranties, express or implied, in relation to the App and the service.
Shop This Room is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from your use of the App or the service, including but not limited to loss of sales, loss of profits, or loss of business opportunities. Our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total commission fees paid by you to Shop This Room in the three months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
You may disconnect from Shop This Room at any time by using the disconnect option in the App dashboard or by uninstalling the App from your Shopify store. Upon disconnection, your products will be removed from all Venue Storefronts. Commission charges for orders placed prior to disconnection remain payable.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you materially breach these Terms, engage in conduct harmful to Shop This Room or its partners, or if required to do so by Shopify.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the App or by email. Continued use of the App after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
